Deutsche Bank picks up 13 wins for its cash management leadership

In this year’s Euromoney Cash Management survey, Deutsche Bank claimed top prize in 13 regional and country categories for its cash management services and market leadership

Against a backdrop of evolving client demand, advancing technologies and geopolitical shifts, Deutsche Bank continues to move the needle for its corporate and financial institution (FI) clients in the cash management space. The bank’s cash management solutions and continued focus and investment into innovation is helping clients to navigate this dynamic landscape.

Deutsche Bank’s combination of local market expertise and cutting-edge technology have once again led to a series of landmark results in the latest Euromoney Cash Management survey. On the corporate side, Deutsche Bank picked up the No.1 market leader position in Western Europe and Germany for the 12th consecutive year. In the FI rankings, Deutsche Bank secured the No.1 market leader position for euro-denominated business globally – up from the No.2 position achieved in 2022.

The impressive results in Europe and across the globe are testament to the bank’s position as the “Global Hausbank”, which enables Deutsche Bank to combine strong European roots and its global network to provide clients with a comprehensive cash management offering.

Dating back to 2001, the Euromoney Cash Management Survey is renowned within the industry – and this year received over 29,000 responses from both corporate and financial institution clients. Being recognised by such a prestigious and reputable programme is a firm indicator of Deutsche Bank’s strong standing with clients across the globe.

Empowering strategic treasury evolution for corporate clients

“By ensuring digitisation is at the heart of everything that we do, we have been able to not only support our corporate clients to overcome challenges in their cash management, but also empower them in their strategic treasury evolution,” said Ole Matthiessen, Global Head of Cash Management and Head of Corporate Bank APAC, Deutsche Bank. “Through our fully-fledged investment toolkit as well as sophisticated workflow and liquidity solutions, corporate clients are able to manage the dynamic rates environment and navigate economic shifts. In parallel, they need to stay ahead of the curve in market dynamics and meet client demands through embracing online business models and deploying new-age marketplace solutions.”

Matthiessen added: “I am very proud and pleased to see that our strategy and solutions not only meet and surpass the evolving expectations of our discerning client base, but set the bar in many countries to place us as a stand-out provider in key markets and ultimately as the Global Hausbank for our corporates worldwide.“

In total, the bank won 8 awards across the Cash Management Corporate categories, with Euromoney also continuing to recognise Deutsche Bank as the overall industry leader in the Netherlands, Pakistan, Portugal and Spain. Deutsche Bank also picked up the top spot for Best Service in Germany and the Philippines, having placed No.3 in both categories last year.

Providing market-leading support to FIs

Alongside the No.1 position for Euro-denominated business globally, Deutsche Bank was also awarded the top spot for this category in Western Europe and the Middle East. In addition, Deutsche Bank picked up pole position for best service in the Middle East for all currencies, having finished No.3 in the category in 2022.

“Our leading position for euro-denominated business globally is testament to our ability to stand by our clients as their Global Hausbank. By providing consistency in an increasingly fragmented world – not just in our home market of Germany, but across our global network – we ensure our FI clients always have access to the best support and latest solutions,” said Daniel Schmand, Global Head of Institutional Cash Management and Corporate Bank Operations, Deutsche Bank.
